A trial is set to run for a programmable TIME for a given
client. Any number of trials make up a session. At the completion of the session the data
is stored, along with session notes, and can be retrieved later as an integrated report.
The report includes the following information:
1. Therapist and patient/client identification
2. Session notes
3. Data in table form
4. Data in graph form and/or ASCII files for later analysis
Physiological data is collected through various sensor leads
attached to a 4 channel Encoder module. The Encoder module sends information it has
gathered in the form of electrical impulses to the computer printer port.
The Encoder Module is under control of the system software. The
Biocomp 2010 system is self-contained. All modalities are housed in the software. They are
programmable and interchangeable on all channels in almost any mix.
The Computer controls the Biocomp modalities by sending commands to
the Encoder module in groups of 4 channels. Encoder Modules of 2, 4 or 8 channels (for 8
channels see the Appendix) can be configured and controlled at one time by the host
computer.
The Computer controls the Encoder channel information, creates
graphs on the Video monitor, generates audio feedback tones, and stores the information
for later use.
